No, it's flat out fucking bullshit when in media there is so much representation of black people that there are MANY, countless even, examples directly working to counter the stereotypes. Whereas there is virtually no Asian representation in media and even fewer (so few they're practically obsolete) that work specifically to counter the stereotype. Not to mention there are many insulting Asian stereotypes as well (likely to be part of the Asian mafia, rice-eating, funny speaking, etc).

And hell, those are the stereotypes that most often get played to in media. And they're more likely to draw a laugh from the wider audience, rather than the similar outrage that black stereotypes tend to incite when they get played to in media.

the "asians love gambling" stereotype is pretty prevalent too.
