I do think there are elements of fandom that have just fundamentally changed. But I agree that it's not entirely a negative change, just a different style, and we can get kinda crotchety about it sometimes, and sort of like... dismissive throwing-the-baby-out-with-the-bathwater kind of thing.

(Not, to be clear, because we're old. Just because we're crotchety weirdos regardless of age)
