The U.S. version of Life on Mars.

To start off, they miscast the two leads. Sam is supposed to be a normal looking guy (not an action hero) and Gene is supposed to be a larger, physically intimidating guy.

The first episode echoes the British version's pilot without any feeling or understanding.

The finale is stupid. Really, really stupid. And literal, but mostly stupid.

Spain did it too? What's the title and the year?
I couldn't finish US version although the leads weren't bad.
