The movie of Sphere. I felt it lost the point be making the main character enter the sphere earlier and being truly to blame for some of the weird shit happening, because in the book it felt like when he did enter and get the reality altering powers, he knew how to (barely) control them because he was a psychologist.

There's a movie of Sphere? I am on it! With low expectations.

Yeah, it was released in '98, which is probably a couple of years after I found the book in a Tafe library and read it.
