If it helps, I think he's attractive as fuck, too and I hope we see more of him in Episode VIII. I blame some of this on my somewhat attraction to redheads.

Oh, yes, redheads. And also the way the black uniform looks against his skin and red hair makes him look even better. I usually think people in general look better naked, but he looks so perfect in the movie.

See, to me, it's all about the suit. I love men in classy, nice suits and Hux has a nice suit. ...Which does hit me with a bit of guilt because yeah, it does have that Nazi-ish look and I get why anon would feel the same.

I remember watching About Time and wondering why they cast someone with such an ugly mug to be the love interest of Rachel McAdams. He's a little better looking in Star Wars, but not much. He could pretty much play Rorschach from Watchman.

But then I've liked some ugly-handsome dudes in my time, so to each their own. He's a good actor, I liked him in Star Wars.

I didn't find him particularly attractive in Star Wars, but I've had a bit of a thing for Domhnall Gleeson ever since I saw Ex Machina, so I did tend to perk up a bit whenever he was on screen in TFA.

Stoic in comparison to Kylo "destroy everything with my lightsaber" Ren, definitely. But Hux is even sneering in the picture OP chose, which is one of his calmer moments. The word doesn't seem to fit.

Yeah, considering that in the movie and even more so in the novelisation, he'said actually the one picking fights with Kylo Ren all the time... well. But in comparison to "I need to destroy potentially important tech equipment out of rage", yeah, I get why people see him as stoic. (And he does appear pretty collected during the scenes where all sorts of shit goes wrong around him.)
