It would probably be simpler for them to found some sort of motherhood cult for them to invest all that religious fervor into, and then slowly (hopefully) wean them off of it.
Though most Mad Max movies overall have surprisingly bittersweet endings, for all that the world is still screwed up and Max himself is a wreck.
In worlds like that where people are pretty dang busy with survival, though, I doubt they'd have /too/ much energy for SJW-type stuff.
