I have actually never heard of encyclopedia dramatica before. Anyone want to fill me in?

Basically the Burn Book of the internet. Wiki that catalogues internet drama written by obnoxious trolls.

It's basically a wiki page for internet drama and the hellholes that spawn it. It's pretty much written entirely by 2008-era chan kids so expect a lot of the usual casual/"for lulz" racism and sexism associated with people determined to be as immature as possible. They have a lot of pages on various drama magnets around the internet -- everyone from Chris-chan to Zer (who has hurt people I know personally) to that weirdo who started Anontalk.

It's a horrible site filled with horrible people but the page for anarchism is a work of god damn art.

is it supposed to be terribly formatted?????

Somewhere in there is the original, properly-formatted page, almost entirely untouched, like the eye of the storm. The rest of the anarchism page, of course, is not what the entire site looks like, and that's the joke :P

A former friend of mine is in it, too. He deserves it.

Call me nosy but, what did he do?

Long story short he's basically a self-absorbed misogynist creep who makes videos with titles like "The Period Excuse" amidst an endless array of anarcho-capitalist pseudo-intellectual bullshittery. He was also a major hypocrite who would moralize endlessly about one thing or another (piracy is bad, internet radio is bad, companies have a right to abuse their employees and customers, etc.) and then unashamedly torrent the new Strapping Young Lad album.

Oh wow, ew.

How do you find these people? You're like a magnet.

He was friends with someone else that I'm still good friends with; neither of us like him at this point obviously. It's kind of a running gag to make fun of him every now and then, 'cuz he was just so awful and it took a while for us to really come to terms with that.

I figured it might be something like that.

I probably have.

I remember Zer and how buttmad she'd get over people making lemurs with panda ears because she thought people were trying to steal her fursona, all because of ED.

I've read some of their forums (as well as the pages) and they come off as a weird mix of 2edgy4u and prudish. Like they complain over and over about some fan artist making work that obviously appeals to the artists fetishes, or has racial undertones, but then they've got "art" of parents committing sex acts with their dead baby, just because they didn't approve of the way the parents handles the baby's funeral.

Some of their pages are funny, but they're pretty much hypocrites who don't give a fuck that they're hypocrites.

Okay that's....they have no room to be judging anyone's fetishes ever.
