Re: Should I mention to my sis she should get her son checked?

Everyone has a different theory. Hey, it is a free health check up with no family friction though. A couple of afternoon's worth of fuss, and then lifetime support for any problems that crop up later. People fucking pay large amounts of money for that sort of crap if they have to organize it themselves. It is a bit mercenary, but no real biggie.

look, using that as an exploit is fine but doing it behind her sister's back is a dick move (at best) and you can always have some bad luck and have someone turn up who just rubs wrong with you and decides to "teach you a lesson". this stuff happens and it can destroy families. (even healthe middle class families. in my neighborhood there was one case of post partum depression in the mother, she had to be hospitalized for months and dad suddenly had to handle everything alone. one nice lady from the authorities came in and decided that a dad alone can't handle a baby - plus he was black and from africa so obviously his strange male dominated "african" culture makes him incapable of caring for a child. bam. kid was seized. the parents went to court over that while the child made the tour de foster homes. because mom was sick.)
