Cats are the best.

I love meeting friendly cats and will without fail resign myself to being late for whatever if I meet a friendly cat. Or any cat, really, because I will inevitably spend at least five minutes try to coax them toward me so I can pet them.

Same. If I was on the run from the police for some reason, all they'd have to do is drop a cat in front of me and I wouldn't be able to resist stopping to pet it.

And I wouldn't be able to resist babytalking the kitty and bragging to the police how beautiful the kitty is as they tackled me to the ground and arrested me.

Thirded. To answer your question OP, there is a ginger tabby that will stalk me down and nuzzle my legs. A swift jog will disinterest him.
