Oh wow, never thought I'd ever see a secret for THIS book.

And I actually had no idea there was a movie until today. One the one hand I'm now kind of curious about it, but on the other hand, if it's at all a faithful adaptation... damn. Just damn. I'm not sure if I can stomach seeing all that shit acted out by real people.

Alex was like that because that was what the women were like in UK 80s cop series. Sam was more weary and occasionally violent because that was what protagonists in 70s cop shows were like. The parody isn't just Gene and the other dead officers, it is our Limbo-Bound protagonists playing out tropes of the era too.

Agreed. I liked Daniella - especially the fact that she got off on the gay guys because that was both amusing and it's nice to see acknowledgement that women can find gay guys hot in the same way straight guys find lesbians hot.

But it'd be weird if they became a threesome. I don't mind her being a platonic part of their life, though.
