Again, it was talking about, and using the FICTIONAL SLUR for a FICTIONAL PEOPLE. IT was supposed to have the same flavour as racism. BUT IT WAS TARGETING A PEOPLE WHO DO NOT EXIST.

And the point was to get a frigging laugh. Which it did.Maybe not much of one, but is the quality of the shit we talk in GC all that stops us from getting deleted?

However you spin it, the fact is you over-reacted, and you used your banhammer to, well, be a bit of a dick.

And a sufficient explanation? No, not really. You saw something. You had a reaction, and you deleted it. Which was a dick move. You trying to claim your reaction was justified and your indiscriminate ban hammering is perfectly fine? That's bollocks. "I didn't like it so I removed it" is the situation we have here, and it sucks but it is what it is. Trying to say you have any kind of justification is just you doing damage control at this point.

So you got that it was elves, and you get that bongo bongo land is a disrespectful term for an underdeveloped country with people commonly thought of a savages or less evolved etc. Which country did you think I was talking about that has "Savage" elves in it? Did you think I was making a racial slur against people in the north pole? I mean, you got that it was elves, but you still fill in the context of it being a slur against real people? How?

I did apologize for taking it as intentionally racist if it wasn't meant to be once upthread. I still don't think that makes it sound not-racist though, so I think we're just going to go in circles and I'd rather not do that here.

I'd like to freeze this so other people don't jump in and wank about it (either for or against either of us, I'd prefer people not jumping in on my side either), if you have no major objections.
