I saw a fic that had Steve crying to himself at night because Tony was ignoring him, and then Tony yelled at him and Steve broke up with him in tears and ran home and then Tony started crying.
This was written by an adult.

I find it sort of funny in fanfics where grown adults start crying. Not that adults don't or shouldn't cry, but it's crying over things a 13-year-old would.

Yeah, see, I have no issue with adults crying. But STEVE crying over Tony having YELLED AT HIM. That was just way too much.

I feel like you can find this exact type of fic in every single slash pairing that's ever existed (and probably most het pairings too). Fully grown adults being melodramatic and crying rivers (and being obsessed with Disney movies) seems to be a thing in badfic.
