I'd be more suspicious of the people who've never read anything but Harry Potter, no question about it. Because the people who haven't read it may well have read bunches of other books. I don't believe that not reading HP means you've missed out on a life changing experience, any more than not reading any popular or "classic" book means something negative about a person.

And I can tell you as someone who HAS read the books: they've made little to no impact on my life, positive or negative. If I hadn't read them, I'd still be the same person. They're just not that important.
