Stop it with your cocksucking comparisons of pain and shitty lives. PAIN IS PAIN.

That's true to a point - and certainly telling someone who's depressed to just snap out of it is the exact opposite of useful - but it isn't always applicable. Some pain is genuinely trivial, and the only reasonable response is to say "stop dwelling on it, it's not that bad".

Depression isn't trivial. Go away.

how is OP's pain trivial

You're taking two statements - "you can't just snap out of depression" and "some pain is trivial" - and trying to mash them into one.

Except anon you replied to was not calling OP's pain trivial, because they were responding to the PAIN IS PAAAAAAAIIIIN anon, above, not to OP.

Apologies if I responded to the wrong anon.

Why don't you try telling your neighbor who just had a miscarriage or your cousin who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer that you totally know what she's going through because this one time your scorpion died or you had the flu, and see how that goes over? Because PAIN IS PAIN and that means all pain is equivalent, amirite?
