After seeing the trailer, I am pretty meh about this. I like the cast (or at least the actresses I know) and I like the work the director has done with said actresses. I even like how cartoony the ghosts look.

But, I don't know WHY they decided a remake was the way to go. Having them be a different Ghostbusters group (maybe in a different city) would have made more sense and ruffled less feathers.

And I don't like how they've made the one black character a black stereotype ("Oh hell naw" REALLY?).

... I've been out of touch with Castle for so long that it took me a good 2-3 minutes to realize that was Alexis.

I guess she's not playing the aloof college-age daughter anymore? (That bugged me. Like, I totally get being that age and changing and her not wanting to be the naive Daddy's girl anymore, but she went from that to giving Castle huge family version of "just not that into you" signals every other episode.)

This is not some earth-shaking problem obviously, but man, this fandom was so utterly, gleefully filthy when I first got into it. now it seems like all the horny adults have left, and it's all teenagers who want to write/read fluffy stuff about cute boys holding them/each other protectively.

Which, you know, is totally fine and all, but I really miss my fellow kinksters and the good old times of sidekick bondage, sex pollen, identity porn, orgy piles and mentor-on-protegé-fucking. Sigh.

Against the Wall! I'm glad you've enjoyed it. I'm sad it ran for just one season. I really like this show. I need to watch this again. I couldn't ship them at all. But I shipped her with both Brody and Danny and wish I could fine some OT3 fics.

"I always wanted to be a published writer. I'm not the best one, have my own niche and I know that writing is a hard arse job.
My hard drive is littered with stories, novels and unfinished ideas and I know that I can't manage them alone or write one without support.
Then, I met my boyfriend - we're an awesome team - not objectively judging, because each one to their own.

We'd surely have a good chance to get picked up by an agent but, ... it's not enough for me.

My secret is - I am from Poland and I'd love to have readers there, not a dozen but hundreds and my dream is to have a popularly noticed gay novel. Not ambitious, not mentioned in morning telly but just ... picked up. I would like to write something similar to "In the Company of Shadows" which is an odd choice for a fav series to imitate but god darn it - it's gonna be the one time I feel as a 'writer' and not a fake.

I hope he's Rey's father
It would make a lot of sense. His Force Talent is making mental connections, most of what we see Rey doing well is making mental connections.The characters have many elements in common, from scavenging trooper armor to being shown playing with helmets to being abandoned around the same age.

Unsurprising. As soon as the canon is difficult, the writing takes off straight for AUville. Much easier than studying the source material or doing research.

I don't know much about the controversies he's involved in (although I'm going to look them up now) but I thought he was hilarious on Supersizers Go with Sue Perkins. They had such great comedic chemistry together. I totally agree he has foot-in-mouth disease though.
