i like the original. in fact i'll even make a case for ghostbusters 2 not being too bad.

but these movies are *not* this fucking amazing nerd property that is soooo precious and needs to be protected from the vile hands of studio execs/sjws/etc.

it's just a decent '80s movie with the best in american comedy at the time. it doesn't need fanboy slobber all over it.

(that said, i don't care either way about the female cast or the male cast, but i do know that from the trailer, sony have made it look extremely cheap and pandering to nostalgia rather than standing on its own two feet as a decent standalone movie that explores the same storyline but with just a female cast.)
