64: That's Cross Marian, isn't it? I loathe the character from the bottom of my heart. He's so insanely popular, both in canon and fandom, and I can't understand why. The man's an arse.

Popular with women in canon, I mean. Apparently they all love him, no matter how awful he is; in the scene where Allen is talking about his training with him, all the women just sigh with how cool Cross is afterwards. And that was a story full of abuse! I mean, really. And Allen said, IIRC, that it's what always happens.

It's a wonder Allen wasn't crushed by that training, especially combined with the obvious disregard Cross has for him.

xD That's just because Allen isn't the uber-uke that he seems. He's a strong guy, really. Even if he is the silliest little boy ever. ♥

I know, he's actually a strong, resilient person, and I really love that he can be so gentle at the same time! I'm convinced he's the strongest of the cast, actually. He's got so many layers, and I've fallen for him completely, heh.

It's hard not to fall completely in love with him. His character is so developed (well, almost all of DGM's characters are, but Allen especially so). I wouldn't say strongest, though he's definitely up there. They're all pretty strong.

It's one of the things I like so much about this manga; it really shows the inner strength of characters one wouldn't expect it of, or in unexpected ways.

Definitely an arse. Yet he does treat women completely different than, well... everyone else. (Poor Allen.) Aside from the man's appearance, I don't really get it either.
