Re: Terrorist Attacks

I'm so sick and tired of Europe being culturally enriched by Islam and I´m scared to death that my country will become the next target.

hey, guess what, Belgium was actually doing real well at peaceful integration and THAT'S WHY THIS HAPPENED.

THE FUCKING TERRORISTS WANT YOU SCARED, THEY WANT YOU TURN ON THE MODERATES AND THE EVERYDAY PEOPLE AND DRIVE THEM OUT OF THEIR NEIGHBORHOODS AMONG YOU THAT THEY FOUGHT FOR, ALL SO THEY CAN GET MORE SOLDIERS.

They want you scared.

They want you to think you're the target.

You're really, really not. Your fear is the carrot on the stick.

NAYRT

So who's the target?

Re: Terrorist Attacks

(Anonymous) 2016-03-22 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)
...I told you. The moderate muslims, who, when marginalized and often given few roads to successful integration, can become desperate and end up as prime candidates to be wooed into a fanatic ideology just for something to grasp.

Driving the moderates out of a region leaves them disenfranchised, confused, and ripe to be abused. It's cult ideology. It's how ISIS gets more recruits, through psychologically slamming them between ISIS and a world that hates and shuns them. It's essentially an attempt to drive people into thinking "You want to hate me? I'll give you a fucking reason to hate me."

It's not right, but it's how it works.

More Muslims are killed by Muslim extremists than any other demographic.

Right now, based on where the bomb exploded, Americans and American travellers. The big security advisory in Europe and UK ought to be to avoid Americans and places where Americans are known to congregate or stay.

Re: Terrorist Attacks

(Anonymous) 2016-03-22 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Hitting Americans right now is a double whammy - not only does it turn sentiment against the stable Muslim communities, but it feeds the right wing beast in the US, and idiots like Cruz and Trump are just churning out amazing recruitment tools for ISIS.

Re: Terrorist Attacks

(Anonymous) 2016-03-22 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)
That should be the case at all times. Americans are dangerous to be around, either because of themselves or because of the people who rightly hate them. You don't want to get caught in the middle.

No, they're not. There's absolutely no evidence for that. There's only one large American company that flies directly to Zaventem Airport (Delta), compared to dozens of airlines from Europe (and some from Africa).

Based on numbers, the most likely victims would be European.

Re: Terrorist Attacks

(Anonymous) 2016-03-23 02:43 am (UTC)(link)
I was going to say, if they wanted to target Americans, they would've gone for Schiphol, not, Zaventem. Schiphol is the biggest international airport in Belgium.

Netherlands, actually - and yeah, higher chance- but even there, majority of travelers in European.

I could also go on about the time frame, and how American flights usually land later than that.

same anon that's ranting on the behalf of the moderates - I missed the N so I apologize for conflating you with the original poster.

Re: Terrorist Attacks

What? No, they haven't been doing well. Brussels has been a breeding ground for extremists for a long while (several terrorists have come from that same region where that Paris bomber was caught earlier). They have just been ignoring and covering up any problems, just like every other European country.

"culturally enriched by Islam"? are you implying that that's what facilitates terrorism?
