DA

It's not new. It's been around for at least 7 years.

(Anonymous) 2016-03-22 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Which is relatively new. You don't see it in everyday use. Let's keep it that way.

(Anonymous) 2016-03-22 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Keep it that way as much as you like, it's not really worth the time arguing with you about. I was pointing out that it is in fact not new and older than most Tumblr terms, that's all. Have fun not using words or whatever.

edgy flounce is edgy lol

(Anonymous) 2016-03-22 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I think you misunderstand me. I'm declining to argue because it's not worth it. My aim here was to clarify a point, that's all. What anon chooses to do or not do with their terms is up to them.

Uh, they're not flouncing?

why, specifically?

(Anonymous) 2016-03-23 01:19 am (UTC)(link)
Because a lot of us are sick of the kreeeative ways people label themselves to appear unique, probably?

I don't really get it though. It's not hurting you, and it's also not about you.

(Anonymous) 2016-03-23 03:02 pm (UTC)(link)
It does and it is. The problem with the multi-label phenomenon is that it's white noise. When people are still busting their asses to achieve basic civil rights, it's frustrating to see the issues devolve into making sure that every stray thought or feeling that a human could have is assigned a twee name and an identity checkbox. It's a distraction and trivializes the efforts of people who are trying to make life outside of tumblr more liveable.

Also, it's precious as fuck.

So you have an issue that isn't actually "sick of the kreeeative ways people label themselves" because that makes it sound like your only problem is you don't like it and want to police how people label themselves.

The issue you bring up makes sense, though I have to wonder how big of a force that actually is outside of tumblr.

Twitter has been around for only 10 years

So let's not talk mention it okay? People make up the weirdest shit.

Not even remotely on the same level, but nice try.
