There's an alarming tendency among some people to believe that respecting/supporting a mental health issue means enabling it.

If I had to guess, I'd say it would relate to an anxiety-based disorder.

Easy. Tracking things is a really common OCD symptom.

Side eyeing everyone in this thread tbh. It's easy enough to blacklist someone talking about followers. It doesn't hurt anyone, and if it is their OCD rearing up, they can't really help it.

Side-eyeing people for unfollowing someone whose posts they don't want to see...?

Nobody's entitled to someone following them dude, and you can unfollow for any reason.
