Oh, yes, cum. No. If you need to use that word, it is spelled come. Cum just looks juvenile and wrong.

Nah. Come is the verb, cum is the noun.

That is the way some people have come to use it, yes. But I dislike it. It looks like a misspelling, it looks juvenile, and it looks stupid. It throws me out of a fic every time.

idk if this is me being ESL but I like cum as a noun and I don't really know what else to call female ejaculation either (except that, but to me it sounds prude, not really useful when I throw cocks and cunts around)

(Anonymous) 2016-03-24 01:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Ditto.

(Anonymous) 2016-03-24 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, I've seen this distinction made but I still hate the look of the word "cum". It looks like horrible textspeak and yanks me right out of the scene.

(Anonymous) 2016-03-24 12:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Cum goes back to at least the 1970s. Maybe earlier.

(Anonymous) 2016-03-24 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
In which dictionary?

(Anonymous) 2016-03-24 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
No.

(Anonymous) 2016-03-24 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
I'm with you, nonny. Though I still cringe to see 'cum' in a sex scene unless it's deliberately supposed to sound particularly raunchydirty.
