What are some fic plots that you wish existed but haven't been able to find yet?

So I've been rereading the Oz books, and I was thinking that this is actually a fandom where a trans headcanon might work really well. Either Tip is still a girl even in the body he's been given, or Ozma still is a boy even though she has her original body back.

Or even exploring either version having tics where they don't fit typical girl or boy behavior. Tip doing something that generally girls do in these books and people being confused. Or Ozma keeping some of her old habits even though she's now a girl.

Basically, I think gender would be something really interesting to explore with Tip/Ozma. But there is very little fandom and I haven't found any such fics. Most of the fics are movieverse or crossovers centering around the other canon's characters anyway.

Although, I have to admit, I'm really happy with the all grown up fics featuring Ozma/Dorothy even though they don't actually grow up in canon.

It's been a century. It's not too outrageous to write fic where the anti-death, anti-aging stuff was eventually ended.

(I read so many Oz books as a kid, and have forgotten most of them.)

That's why I'm rereading them. These books were such a huge part of my childhood, and I realized the other day it has been years since I read them. And they are conveniently on one of the bookshelves here in my parents' house where I'm living right now.

Finished the first one, half way through the second. Some things I liked better when I was a kid, but a lot of it actually holds up. The language is surprisingly not dumbed down. There are quite a lot of decently complex words used.

Oooo, thanks. I actually looked on AO3 last night, so I'm not sure how I missed it.

I still want an Avengers fic where the actors get transported into the MCU world somehow and have wacky adventures.

That sounds like it could be a really awesome fic. I'm just imagining everyone thinking Chris Hemsworth is Thor and asking if he's done something to have his hammer taken away again.

I just want to see RDJ and Tony Stark pretending to be each other for lulz.

I want like. An enormous exploration of the ethical and medical Squickiness of super soldier'ing somebody. Like. Think of all the ways that could have gone catastrophically wrong

Also: Steve and Nat as Olympic gymnast AU. Not sure why, but I want that.

I don;t got any enormous explorations. But I do have some fics that touch on various aspects of having super serum.

Actually Olympics AU is one of the best ideas I've ever heard - since, I mean, it's pretty well known that Olympic Village is almost always basically a massive fuck palace, so you can justify pretty much any pairing you like that way. Also it makes sense how these people are so insanely athletic.

To this day, I want dark an depressing Kevin-centric Brothers & Sisters fic set when Jason wasn't calling from Thailand and Saul was deeply closeted and mad that Kevin realized it.

Grimm: Domestic fluff with Nick, Juliette and Trubel. I don't want Nick and Juliette treating her like a little girl who needs a mommy and daddy to make her soup and kiss her boo-boos, but some degree of an age-appropriate guardian/parental dynamic when she was living with them would have been nice instead of feeling more like they were all roommates.

I want more Chuck fanfic. I want more fanfics with Chuck's plot and different characters in it. Chuck's S1-S2 setup is one of my favorite dynamics of all time, even though I'm not a spy person. I want more, goddammit.

I want an epic-length Sephiroth and Zack buddycop gen piece set during the Wutai War. Featuring pre-Crisis Core fanon Zax (the mature competent war-hero that Cloud was emulating), not CC-canon puppy Zack.

I keep digging though the circle of magic and young wizards aus. there are only a handful.

It's a Remus Lupin-centric fic that's really interioristic and prose-y, and has him basically going back through his memories of his life, starting when he (in Grimmauld Place) eats a cauldron cake and is taken back into the memories of his first train ride to Hogwarts. And then it goes through his experiences, his memories, his desire, his relation to his changing shape and his identity as a werewolf, his relationship with Sirius and James and Peter, etc etc etc. Really intense, psychological stuff. And it'd be called The Prisoner of Azkaban.

Gotta be the epic Orphan Black/Helix crossover absolutely nobody but me wants. Where Julia and Sarah (Jordan) team up with Clone Club because obviously Ilaria Corp. is totally connected to Topside/Dyad Institute. The plot connection would probably be that Sarah (Manning)/Helena's ~super embryos~ might be the cure for something that is a giant spoiler for the end of Helix so I won't say more specifics.

There's even an obvious link to be made from Michael DuBois to Neolution!!

I know it's juvenile, but I want fic where the characters from Once Upon a Time find their Author--authors, rather--and it's Kitsis and Horowitz, and all the heroes and villains and forgotten fairy-tale nobodies just corral them in a room and start yelling at them about how much they hate the way they've been written. And for Emma to whap them repeatedly around the head with a copy of What to Expect When You're Expectingbecause "for fuck's sake, haven't you ever met a woman? We carry babies for nine months!"

Ha. I'd read it.

I just wish there were more interesting crossovers in general, and specifically more good plotty Harry Potter crossovers/AUs. Whenever people go Hogwarts AU there often isn't much plot, it's just about the characters faffing around in school.

Still looking for the elusive Dean Winchester/Linda Tran fics.

Tumblr is also a NOPE.

On the serious side: A Sense8/Pacific Rim AU where being a sensate makes you more likely to be drift compatible and discovering the dynamics of post-Pacific Rim kaiju attacks when you're part of a cluster. I also want historically accurate Man From UNCLE gen and super-spy adventures.

On the WTF side: Flowers in the Attic/Carrie crossover where Carrie White and Carrie Dollaganger are friends who conspire about the abuse they've both faced at the hands of their fanatically religious abusers.

Oooh, I like the "Flowers in the Attic"/"Carrie" crossover idea. I'd read that.
