F!S needs fresh wank. Here's something to get you guys started.
(Anonymous) 2016-03-24 01:46 am (UTC)(link)HERE, HAVE SOMETHING ELSE TO ARGUE ABOUT:
So, Ben Okri (author of The Famished Road and its sequels) writes a piece on how he thinks black authors are subjecting themselves to "mental tyranny" by giving in to the expectation that they should write about slavery and oppression.

The awesomest literature, Mr. Okri argues, is not awesome because of what its about, but because of how its written. He thinks black authors should stop limiting themselves to a narrow range of topics.
In rebuttal to the above piece, Sofia Samatar basically says "Okay, but there are plenty of books by black authors that aren't about slavery, you're just not looking hard enough for them."

WHAT DOES F!S THINK OF THIS LITERARY DEBATE?!
