I think real fans can accept that their product has flaws, but these people are real fans so (does that fall into the No True Scotsman fallacy?). Like I love The Lego Movie, but i've seen people call it loud, overly stimulating, too bright, and backtracks on its message, and I may not agree but I don't get angry if someone says it.

I just wanted Wyldstyle to stay with Batman and not be gifted to Emmet :( I mean aside from I hate the hero "getting the girl" all the time, but the thought of Batman with her was just hilarious to me.

Yeah, that was ridiculous. I hope the sequel lampshades that with "Ha what a shitty trope".

If they actually did that, I would forgive them for everything.
