Just when you think the NYPD can't get worse

It turns out they put people in body bags after arresting them. Not in the way the usually do by shooting you in the back or by choking the life out of you, but by shoving living people in them if they feel the person needs a time out. And they lug and toss the body bag around as if it is a side of beef needing tenderized too. Presumably they just write it up as saving a little time in the long run.

The police are nassively incompetent and incapable of doing anything more involved than either beating the shit out of (brown and poor) people for making trouble, or just existing, or shooting them for the same reason.

That is the highest purpose of policing in this country. That is the meaning of law and order and how it's kept. Not even surprising at this point. The police genuinely could not do anything more than that - like actually solve crimes - because that's not what the structure of the police was designed to do.

American police are profoundly disturbing. I think they really need an overhaul of their training and to have their behavioural rules enforced.

Gotta fix that corruption first.

As soon as law enforcement started confiscating phones, app designers came up with high quality auto-uploaders. Information wants to be free, and so should we.

"The bag used by the officers in the video is a restraint device used on emotionally disturbed individuals, an NYPD spokeswoman said, adding that the Emergency Services Unit “uses the device when an EDP is violent and may cause harm to themselves or others.”

“The bag is ventilated and they can breathe,” the spokeswoman added."

Yes because clearly the best solution to dealing with someone who is emotionally disturbed is to put them in a tightly enclosed space that is usually associated with being dead. Calms me right now!

I believe the thought process is that it works with dogs, putting a blanket over their head and wrapping them up tightly, should work on the poor and on niggers too.
