I get this, even though nobody gifts me fic and this secret makes me hope that doesn't happen in the future, hahaha. I write fic but very rarely read it anymore. So much of it relies on tropes and conventions I really don't like, or characterization and ideas about a ship I don't agree with, so I write the stories I want to read myself and always get a kick out of anyone else liking them. I'm not actually involved in either fandom I write in, come to think of it. Lost is long over and my ship is the only thing I still care about from it, and then Outlast is dominated by Eddie love and other things that are very much not for me, so I just stay in my little corner and do my thing.
