Rachel in Friends. I watched Friends first in reruns and she's not terrible, but when you start watching from the beginning? I hated her immediately and couldn't figure what everyone else saw in her.

i'm the complete opposite haha, i remember she was one of my least favourite friends character when i first watched the show and then i decided to rewatch it a year ago and i grew to like her

I love all of the main 6, but Rachel is my least favorite.

It's interesting because one of my best friends is watching the show on Netflix for the first time and Rachel is her favorite.

(Frankly, with the way tumblr & the rest of the internet hate on Ross, I've actually come to like Rachel less & less because they use that relationship as a basis to hate Ross when she was just as bad, if not worse. I get super fired up about it, all the time.)

Oh they were both horrible to each other in their relationship. Their relationship as the years went on was probably one of my least favorite thing about the show. (Except Season 5 with the weddings)

I grew to love Rachel, and grew to hate Monica and Joey. Monica and Joey's flanderizations were awful. I guess since Rachel was introduced as more of a stereotype, she had the chance to be fleshed out and become a well-rounded character, but the fact that Monica and Joey started the show as very well-rounded characters (especially Monica) and devolved into parodies of their character type was sad.

Like I said, I love them all, but I will agree Joey's flanderization was the worst, and Monica, I still love her, but she's downright screechy by the end of the series, and it's really grating. I literally cannot stand her in the episode with Phoebe's wedding. She's so needlessly spiteful there, it drives me nuts.
