Rachel in Friends. I watched Friends first in reruns and she's not terrible, but when you start watching from the beginning? I hated her immediately and couldn't figure what everyone else saw in her.

Tyrion Lannister. Dude, I realize you're pretty messed up in the head, but the raping and fantasizing about killing prostitutes thing was the last straw for me.

I was really hopeful when she was announced, and I was excited to see what they were going to do with her. I wasn't thrilled with all the decisions they made for her in DoS but I still liked her inclusion and I was hopeful for where they were going. BoFA happened and now I can't stand her.

this is a generic answer but i dislike characters that are one dimensional and don't have any flaws but the fandom tries to make them more than they actually are and try to villianfy other characters in the show because they aren't perfect and have human flaws.

i guess it's more accurate to say i dislike the fandom but i grew to hate the character too, which i know is unfair.

Coulson in the MCU, granted his original introduction was fine and I didn't care either way about him. Then he got his own shown, more screentime and with that screentime came the hand waving of anything morally shady he did as completely a-ok because 'he's a good guy', and that just annoyed me more and more until I eventually dropped the show.

But hey he's not likely to come back to the movies anytime soon so at least that's one good thing about AoS's existence for me.

Reese in Person of Interest is going that way for me. Not even because of his character, but because the way the show writers bend every event around him. I hate hate hate it when show writers spin the universe around their favorite character to the detriment of all of the other characters.

Loki. My mild dislike grew to hate as a result of the fandom acting like he's a woobie and the best thing ever.

Xander Harris. Disliked him early on, grew to hate him as he never really grew up.

Eol and Maeglin. Mostly based on how I've come to interpret the characters. Eol straight up is a rapist, and Maeglin I've come to think wasn't actually tortured in Angband and gave up Gondolin willingly.

Loki. I remember enjoying him as a villain when I first saw Thor, but fandom's constant woobification of him has irritated me enough that I wish he'd just disappear from the franchise entirely.

And preferably take Ward and Bucky with him.

Sasuke from Naruto. I was one of those Sasuke fangirls way back in the day, but started to dislike him when he left the village and outright hated him as the series went on.

I never liked her very much, but as the seasons have gone by I've honestly started to hate Hannah Horvath (Girls). I have never disliked a fictional character as much as I dislike her and I just want to punch the TV.

Take Wesley as read, I never liked him right off the bat.

Everybody on ST:Voyager (except Tom Paris, hated him at first, loved him by the end of the show) and Enterprise.

Kira Nerys from Deep Space 9. I loved her at first, her battle hardened persona and slow to open guard was really unique in the Trek verse, at first, but by season five/season four I could only assume she swung by the station sickbay every week to pick up her prescription of "I'm a bitch" pills.

Deanna Troi from TNG. I liked her at first, I thought the idea of a telepath and a counselor, putting the McCoy moral conscience explicitly in the command structure was a huge thing. As the seasons wore on she got more and more irritating to the point where when they promoted her ahead of Data based on a test her ex boyfriend practically spoonfed her the answer too... Gah, rage, hate, shut your fucking cakehole Troi. Sit there, look pretty, try not to crash the ship again.

Speaking of her ex-boyfriend. Riker. Commander Sleaze and Harassment himself. Blatant favoritism for Deanna aside, he completed his character arc at the end of all good things and just hung around afterwards like one of those guys who graduated high school but couldn't get into college so keeps asking the new cool kids to take him to the neat parties. He was a smug bully too.

There are so many Clamp characters (most notably Fai and Watanuki; I can't fucking stand what happened to them).

Castiel. Soon as the fandom jumped on his dick, I came to hate him AND Misha Collins just because of over-exposure. Not to mention what they ultimately did with his character on the show. He was such a badass warrior at the beginning, and then he was just a whipped sidekick.

Sam Winchester. He was never my favorite character because I always related more to Dean but I enjoyed Sam and his arcs well enough. Somewhere around season five I started to become indifferent to him. By season eight, I hated him. He's a selfish, rude, pretentious, ungrateful, useless prick who treats people with such blatant disrespect that I have no idea how any of the other characters can stand him.

By season nine I hated him so much (actually come to think of it Dean and a few of the recurring female characters - Charlie, Jody, Abbadon, the Harvelles, I LOVED Ruby 1.0 - were the only ones I even remotely liked) that I had to drop the show. Which is a shame because for all of the problems Supernatural has, I really did genuinely enjoy the mythology they created.

Lexa from The 100. And that was about 20% because of her actions at the end of Season 2 and 80% due to her stans.

Jack from Lost. At first, I quite liked his character and thought there was a lot of great things about the complexity of his character, but eventually I got so sick of his shit.

Sherlock Holmes in the BBC's Sherlock.

He started out as kind of an amusing jerk, but has since been downgraded to an obnoxious dickbag.

Tony Stark.

The constant woobification and his fans acting like he's never actually in the wrong, and that the other characters in universe could never have any legit reasons to disagree with or be angry with him, even when he was being an outright asshole to them, really soured me on him.

Betty Draper. I loved her in Season 1 & 2, but then she became meaner and meaner, especially to Sally. I understand that her life with Don was difficult, but I cannot forgive adults who take their personal issues out on their kids.

Hate is a very strong word for it, but I've gone from liking Peggy Carter and Sam Wilson in canon to having zero interest in either of them in fandom.
