Yes, we need more shows about real women and their lives.

Yes, we need to support shows like this.

And yes, the main reason for that is so we can get more shows for us and we won't be stuck having to watch this shit anymore. It's fucking terrible, but its also the only female ran, female focused, and female positive show out there at the moment. This is a tragedy, because 1. Lack of representation is harmful and 2. this show really really is absolute shit.

You know, Kimmy Schmidt isn't great, but it's better than Girls, and it meets all of those criteria (female ran, female focused, and female positive). Also, since it's on Netflix, it makes a difference for most of it to watch it, whereas watching Girls without a Nielsen box is meaningless.

I actually really like Kimmy Schmidt. I love the positive vibe of the show and I think the characters are great overall. And Netflix actually recommended it me as a show with a strong female lead, lol.

I don't know Girls but if the criteria is female focused, female positive, female ran and not terrible Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt definitely fits.

Oh man how could I forget OITNB? That is a hundred thousand times better than Girls and meets all of AYRT's criteria.
