I can sorta relate, OP.

I love my best friend, but sometimes I do wonder if maybe we've grown apart and should split ways because of different interests and personalities etc., but her idea of a friendship is just someone who will be there for her, someone she can talk to and do innocuous things like shopping with, so even when I "joke" about "divorcing" her, she makes it clear our friendship will never end.

(We've been friends since we were 10 or 11. We didn't see each other for four years during high school. I guess we're pretty much ride or die at this point.)

Anyway, I'm really sorry to hear you don't like your best friend & aren't sure you ever did. Do you have other friends, or is this a situation where it's better to be with this best friend you don't like than to be alone?
