Exact same for entry level engineering positions. Nobody will have 3 years experience right out of undergrad?
And then when you talk to people who work there they'll say "oh all we really need is people with common sense who are willing to work hard" which funnily enough usually seems to be people who know someone who works there.

... Sorry I took your bitter post and made it 100x more bitter!

Exactly. Like, I'm really glad I chose the law school I did because at least I have 4 internships, so I usually count that as 2 years and apply for the 1-3 years experience jobs. Most other graduates have 1, maybe 2, though.

I don't know. Depending on the engineering discipline, most people I know worked every single summer and most worked part time jobs through undergrad.
