Anorexia is a dangerous form of self-harm, and it's unnerving to see it being advocated by so many people.

Being thin =/= anorexic. Sure, lots of anime characters ARE what would be considered anorexic, but not everyone's going to take it that far.

Thinspiration is a phrase used pretty much only by proanas, specifically defined as an image or ideal they use to keep themselves that way.

Well then apparently a lot of people are using it "incorrectly" because most of the people I've talked to use it just to mean they want to slim down :\

[edit] by which I mean that I think the term is being adopted into a slightly more mainstream use -- like the variants: strength-spiration, etc.
