(Anonymous) 2016-03-30 01:36 am (UTC)(link)I didn't ship anything when I first watched it, either (except for the main Canon ship, I guess? But even that... uh nah, not so much). It also was a time when I wasn't really aware of fandom stuff yet (and didn't have a lot of access because crappy internet and no private internet-capable PC).

(Anonymous) 2016-03-30 01:28 am (UTC)(link)Oh yes! It's a... very toned down version of the same general Eric Draven plot (toned down in the violence/grim dark department) and it's not exactly an amazing show but it's fun in a very 90s mystery show kind of way (a bit like Buffy, I guess).

(Anonymous) 2016-03-30 01:16 am (UTC)(link)...it was terribly hard to find where I lived because they kept moving it around so it never seemed to be on during the same time two weeks in a row.

(Anonymous) 2016-03-30 01:32 am (UTC)(link)I'm not sure if the show actually ran on TV in my country. I just found it by accident in the video rental place (had to beg my mother to rent it for me because I wasn't allowed to because of the rating - she actually did, surprisingly. But the rating was pretty OTT high - the show is really harmless...

(Anonymous) 2016-03-30 01:58 am (UTC)(link)1. No white cock.
2. Hardcore The Crow fans tend to disregard the sequels because there's a vague sense that they're disrespectful to Brandon Lee, and also sort of crappy.
If you write it I'll read it, anon!

(Anonymous) 2016-03-30 08:09 am (UTC)(link)I'm pretty tired of the "no white cock" whining, to be honest. It doesnt always apply and there generally wasn't much of a fandom anyway. And really, hardcore Crow fans were probably much more irritated at the harmlessness of this show in comparison to, you know, the original comic.

My mom and I used to watch it together as often as we could!
We were both rather upset when the schedule changed and then it ended. =\

(Anonymous) 2016-03-30 08:04 am (UTC)(link)The sad thing is that it apparently had pretty good ratings - the only reason it was cancelled was because the studio was bought up (by Universal, I think) and they just decided to drop it for no damn reason.

I always figured that maybe the ratings were screwed up due to the constant time changes. But wow =\
