Oh wow, it is SO hard to find other fans of this show. It's long been one of my favorites. I don't exactly ship anything from it, though.

(Anonymous) 2016-03-30 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
OP
I didn't ship anything when I first watched it, either (except for the main Canon ship, I guess? But even that... uh nah, not so much). It also was a time when I wasn't really aware of fandom stuff yet (and didn't have a lot of access because crappy internet and no private internet-capable PC).

(Anonymous) 2016-03-30 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
Wait does this have anything to do with The Crow movies?

(Anonymous) 2016-03-30 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
OP
Oh yes! It's a... very toned down version of the same general Eric Draven plot (toned down in the violence/grim dark department) and it's not exactly an amazing show but it's fun in a very 90s mystery show kind of way (a bit like Buffy, I guess).

I remember this series!

...it was terribly hard to find where I lived because they kept moving it around so it never seemed to be on during the same time two weeks in a row.

(Anonymous) 2016-03-30 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
OP
I'm not sure if the show actually ran on TV in my country. I just found it by accident in the video rental place (had to beg my mother to rent it for me because I wasn't allowed to because of the rating - she actually did, surprisingly. But the rating was pretty OTT high - the show is really harmless...

For a moment I wondered whether I made this secret while I was drunk and forgot about it. Couple of things that prevent a fandom from happening.
1. No white cock.
2. Hardcore The Crow fans tend to disregard the sequels because there's a vague sense that they're disrespectful to Brandon Lee, and also sort of crappy.
If you write it I'll read it, anon!

(Anonymous) 2016-03-30 06:17 am (UTC)(link)
I think you're missing the #1 reason: WTF is this show??!?

(Anonymous) 2016-03-30 08:09 am (UTC)(link)
OP
I'm pretty tired of the "no white cock" whining, to be honest. It doesnt always apply and there generally wasn't much of a fandom anyway. And really, hardcore Crow fans were probably much more irritated at the harmlessness of this show in comparison to, you know, the original comic.

(Anonymous) 2016-03-30 09:10 am (UTC)(link)
You're forgetting the real reason there's no fandom: It was a B show that aired for all of one season roughly twenty years ago, in alternating shitty timeslots that ensured not many people saw it, and those who did had to jump through a bunch of hoops to catch more than a couple of episodes.

Fandoms don't just appear for things no one's ever heard of.

Man, did I looooooooooooooove this show back in the day. I am disappoint too.

I used to LOVE this show!!

My mom and I used to watch it together as often as we could!

We were both rather upset when the schedule changed and then it ended. =\

(Anonymous) 2016-03-30 08:04 am (UTC)(link)
OP
The sad thing is that it apparently had pretty good ratings - the only reason it was cancelled was because the studio was bought up (by Universal, I think) and they just decided to drop it for no damn reason.

...Seriously? I had no idea about that =\

I always figured that maybe the ratings were screwed up due to the constant time changes. But wow =\

(Anonymous) 2016-04-03 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know the show but I'm just glad someone other than me uses that font.
