Incest pairings.

What do you like? Are there particular dynamics that you're looking for? Or ways you want to read them in fic? Is this a kink or do you only like the one-off exception? Why is it an exception?

I only like Justine/Alex from Wizards of Waverly Place, no other incest.

As for why, IDK I guess there's just something about their situation and dynamic the actors' chemistry and the way everything in their world is fucked up in a strange blase teen-comedy way.

Justin/Alex. Yes! I've only just gotten into it.

Yeah, there was at least one interview where Selena Gomez admitted that she had a crush on Justin's actor in the past and you can really, really tell that in the show. There were some moments where Alex seemed seconds away from making out with her brother. It was great

Brother sister, other het is fine. Unprotected sex and he finishes inside. I like the danger.

For me, dynamic wise, if they are more closely related than cousins, I like the dynamics clearly unlealthy.

I like way too many incest pairings to list them here tbh but I tend to go for brother/brother pairings or father/son pairings (yeah, yeah I know..)

Oh, and Norma/Norman from Bates Motel

YES to Norma/Norman. Incest normally isn't my thing, personally so I hesitate to say I full on "ship" it-if they had sex, for instance, I'd be cringing the whole time...

...but that being said, damn, are their interactions on the show utterly fascinating to watch*. And obviously the whole point of the show is to explore their utterly fucked up dynamic to its tragic end, so any sexual moments that have occurred, or may eventually occur, between them, mild or otherwise, kinda HAVE to come with the territory :p.

*There's been some fantastic scenes between them thus far in the current season. The episode from a couple weeks back where Norman confronted Norma about her plans to send him to that facility-that moment with them in the basement was chilling.

Incest is definitely a kink for me. I ship most family members in all my fandoms (so long as everyone is over age).

John/Dean from SPN was my first (I blame the scene where John was possessed) but I actually want to see John taking care of Dean - I guess redeeming how he is in the actual show

I have a ton of incest ships in Toklien. I like that the dynamics of immortals complicates how family works. But, I don't actually ship the canon incest pairings or the popular fandom pairings (Fingon/Maedhros for example). I also don't ship messed up. I just want all the characters in Tolkien to find a happy ending. They all deserve it.

I also like the Batfamily incest. I like to make close relationships that aren't biological incestuous because it is a kink for me. Tim and Dick as brothers. Bruce as their dad. Etc. Sometimes I like to work in AUs where their incest is even more explicit (Bruce is actually Dick's bio-dad) for the kink.

And, I seem to buck the trend in that I don't care for incest fics where it explores how messed up the pairing is or the us-versus-the-world dynamic. I ship incest for the extra closeness and understanding that comes with family and lovers combined, and the complicated nature of making relationships like that work. I blame a Thranduil/Legolas fic for that.

I can't say for certain what grabs me with incest pairings, messed up dynamics certainly does it, but I also have ships where as far as canon goes it's pretty healthy but my brain is all over it for some reason.

For several years though all my incest pairs were male/female but I've picked up more slash ones in recent years.

I seem to have fallen down the Wincest rabbit hole, but only if it involves soulless!Sam.

My first incest pairing ever was Georgia/Shaun from the Newsflesh trilogy. (Which is het and also canon.)

The only incest pairing I really like is Cathy/Chris from the Flowers in the Attic series.

Awww, baby's first incest pairing! (I'd forgotten about them.)

I haven't found much that is quite so deliciously fucked up like baby's first incest pairing xD
