Are you me, OP? Seriously, I've binge watched this show last summer and this was my first and only slash ship that I actually felt could be realized. It's highly unlikely it will happen, but still. So many moments in this show when I was 100% certain those two must be mad about each other. It was so blatantly obvious sometimes that I find it hard to believe it wasn't written like that on purpose. If one of them was female you'd just know they're meant to end up together at some point.

Haven't played The Division yet due to not having access to my console for going on six months, but I distinctly remember thinking while watching the trailers that the guys in gas masks seemed a hell of a lot more interesting than the generic raggedy underdog heroes.

I... kind of feel the same. Genos is obviously the beefcake in he show, but Saitama is the kind of person I tend to gravitate towards appearance-wise - a little awkward, sure, but memorable and unique, expressive when he's not in resting bitchface, and with little glimpses (in his case, literally in the form of artstyle shifts) of something really cool or awesome or pretty. Genos is the kind of guy whose hotness would just make me feel really awkward and inferior and overwhelmed. Gimme a cute dork like Saitama any day.

This is THE ship I think of when people talk about femslash for brownie points. Everyone in the fandom puts it on their list of OTP’s, but I don’t believe the majority of them really care at all. The lack of fic and art (other than the holding hands, might as well be platonic kind) shows everything. I think people think they need to ship Kiyoyachi to prove they don’t hate girls, and I wish they wouldn’t. There are perfectly good gender-neutral reasons not to ship it. They have an obvious age gap and a mentor/student relationship, two things none of the other big ships have. Shipping Kiyoyachi is like shipping one of the first year boys with Daichi or Suga, and almost nobody does that. So why force yourselves with this ship just to fill your yuri card?

b!s- I think it’s also really disingenuous to say Yachi’s reactions to Kiyoko and Saeko’s looks make her canonically gay. That’s not attraction, it’s insecurity and jealousy. (Source: Myself, a girl who likes girls)

tl;dr I don’t ship it and think those who do are faking, but have an out-of-context screenshot anyway
