I don't care what people take as hints for the pairing, didn't say it didn't extend to other ships either. The secret isn't about other ships so why would I? Doesn't change the fact that the things they take as hints at shippiness aren't written to be taken that way or "code" characters as gay, and what's disingenuous is when people claim they are.

I like how you think I don't watch things with more opportunities for femslash. I do, and not having any f/f to ship in Haikyuu isn't my concern. One of the only anons who agreed with my secret said it best: people don't watch male-centric sports anime for the femslash. I watch it for the slash and I watch female-centric shows for the femslash. Forcing femslash into shows you're obviously not watching for that is annoying because there's a real belief with fans that if there's a dearth of female characters in a show, you need to ship the ones that exist or else that must mean they hate them. That's a problem for me because I don't want to be accused of girlhate, and I don't want to have to fake interest in shipping them to avoid it.

The hints people take as a base for a ship are almost NEVER written to be taken that way, that's why the comparison to other pairings is a valid point to bring into it (and you also brought up other pairings in the comments so... yeah.). And yes, I already agreed that people trying to argue it's canon are ridiculous, so what's your point here?

I think it's great that you are convinced that people "force" this very shipping femslash ship into this fandom. They usually don't - they are just not the main focus in fanwork. That doesn't mean people don't really ship them. People can have different priorities when shipping, you know. And I think it's ridiculous to claim that any femslash pairing in a slash-dominated fandom is 'forced' just because you personally don't agree with it.

Nobody forces you to ship anything. Never. As long as you don't go around vocally hating on a ship to the ship-fan's faces, nobody will care if you ship it or not.

I wouldn't have made the secret if that were true. "Callout" posts of "I see you ignoring the obvious femslashy subtext between Girl A and Girl B, and don't think I don't know why" are the kind of shit I left other fandoms because of. I grant that I haven't seen it in the Haikyuu fandom yet, but I think I have reason to be on guard about it.

Oh yes, silly, non-personalised callout posts by idiots, that's definitely massively terrible and such harrassment.

You think you're being sarcastic, but you don't know Tumblr.

Nah, I know and despise callout culture on tumblr. That said, if a callout post is made in general, nobody forces you to apply it to yourself. Just ignore it.
