1. Every person who hides their true self for fear of ridicule contributes to the need for others to hide their true selves. No one should be afraid to be honest about themselves.

Fear and hiding are symptoms, not the problem.

They're symptoms that perpetuate the problem. I know fear is a hard thing to overcome, but no one is ever as alone as they feel. When one person stands up for themselves, they usually find there are other people like them who were just waiting for someone else to speak up.

I think that's debateable. Mostly I don't like it because it moves the onus onto the person being being harassed/ridiculed. I do see your point, though, yes, and that's my approach, personally.
