Waste of a talented actor on a kid's show. I wish Capaldi would get back to doing real work.

He seems to be having a lot of fun and I think it's kinda awesome he's getting to have fun when I imagine 90% the roles he gets offered are more Malcolm Tucker-esque type characters (comedy or otherwise).

Quite apart from the fact that Capaldi is quite literally living his childhood dream by playing the Doctor, it's probably not a bad idea to do a high profile role in something that couldn't be further from "The Thick of It".
