Jack Sparrow. He'll always have a special place in my heart.

To be honest, it always feels like I get attached to one character in a movie/tv show, and then after my moment in that fandom, I have a piece of them with, as if they have been my mentor/love and will always be with me in a way.

I suppose the most telling aspect of this would be that I take on either style or some of the character's mannerisms along with me IRL.

what's the most unusual style or mannerism you picked up?

hmm. At one time, it was probably the Jack Sparrow swaggerish-gait, but I think it's now a combination of changes in my speech pattern (influenced by a few characters) and walking around thinking I'm in a particular situation (that would only apply in a movie or media)-- that is, walking around confidently like I'm Van Helsing's protege--occasionally. It does make walks home far more amusing.

Style...Well...I still have items in my closet that I can (and do) use to dress as a pirate/Sweeney Todd.I suppose that might be the most unusual stylistic choice? I aim for a late 18th century to early 19th century look using (Western) European man's clothing (not completely, of course). As I've grown older, the look has been amended so I can wear it to work (partially).

OT (a bit)
Long and short of it, adopting certain elements of style here and there have helped boost my confidence, so that I can in fact walk around like I'm amazing, because I am! lol, went a bit over board, but characters like Jack Sparrow were essential in rebuilding my self esteem and helping me form my identity while I was an adolescent. And I'll always be thankful and glad that I had them.
