Some people in fandom are entitled fucks, no news there.

I read WIPs all the time, it doesn't deter me at all. Sure, it's sad to see them abandoned, but if I am sad about it, that means I was invested enough for it to be a good story and therefore worth it anyway. Plus then I can privately write my own endings to the story. No shame.

This. And some people do eventually come back months/years later to finally finish them, too, so it's not like there's NEVER a chance they'll ever be finished.

yeah this is me

I like WIPs and I get excited when they update and it sucks when they're abandoned, but they don't dominate my life or even my fandom existence.

What makes people entitled? Not wanting to read something unfinished? admitting to it in a community explicitly about sharing things your embarrassed by?? I think the entitled ones are the people harassing writers.
