A very light-weight, light grey mohair-silk-blend knee-length cardigan. It has miraculous properties and can somehow keep me warm in the winter and yet is light enough to wear in high-60s weather, too. I wish I could wear it every day.

I love the way that you often buy a new item of clothing, maybe something very simple and plain, with no idea that it's quickly going to become your favorite thing to wear. A little happy surprise.

When I was a teenager I was all about oversized hoodies for exactly that reason. Wore 'em down to my knees and had an instant second skin.

Unfortunately, that is not a style that can last into adulthood.
