MTE. And while objectively, I know there's absolutely nothing wrong with having a checklist of things you want to see in a movie, something about lists like this get under my skin. Probably because none of the above guarantees a movie that isn't garbage.

Checking off actors you enjoy, good direction, realistic dialogue, nice sets, good effects, etc.: those are the making of a good movie. "OMG, two women don't live for romance, but can still be shippable AND one of them gets a soapbox speech?!!!" can exist independent of all other quality.

This seems like a really knee jerk, boring reaction to someone discussing specific aspects of a film.

That's like thinking "two women have a conversation about something besides a man" is the main plot of a movie just because someone said it passed the Bechdel Test.
