He was good. I liked him. But he couldn't make up for the bad storyline or the complete ruining of Superman and his side characters.

Yeah. I mean, the movie has a whole slew of problems, but the way it handles Superman and everything related to him is one of the worst aspects for sure.

Christopher S. Nolan seems to have a worse grasp on what makes Superman than Frank Miller does. And that's saying something.

What does Nolan have to do with this? Snyder was the director here, not Nolan.

Snyder was apparently handpicked by Nolan to take the rein. Nolan is still the producer for these Superman movies.

More importantly, he's the screenwriter for Man of Steel (along with Davis S. Goyer, who wrote Batman v Superman), which set the idea of how Superman would be portrayed.
