Re: Question for ladies, regarding pandering

I'm easily bored, and generally don't want the "same old same old" mediocre crap--but I'm willing to make tradeoffs. If the storytelling or production design is superb, I'll tolerate less diversity in the characters; if the concept of the show is audacious, I'll give mediocre writing or acting a pass. Ideally, of course, I want it all; I want a cast of characters that are diverse in terms of race, gender, physical appearence and orientation, acting out a well-written story that's thought-provoking and entertaining on gorgeous sets with great music. And THAT is what would pander to ME. Variety is my preferred eye candy.

(I realize that I haven't quite answered the question you asked, but the idea that womon in general only want one or the other of those choices kinda gets my fur up.)
