Cultural libertarianism and the alt-right. It just blows my mind how fucking UGLY they can be, and the words and slang they use (like "cuck" and "cuckservative") are breathtakingly soulless in their casual cruelty.

What is cultural libertarianism supposed to be?

It's the self-styled "philosophy" of the alt-right, GG, etc. It's intended as the opposite of popular neo-Nazi boogeyman "cultural Marxism" (which doesn't exist, but tell THEM that) but all it really is, is the new retrogradism. It doesn't fit at all the dictionary definition of libertarianism, but it does match the de facto state of modern libertarianism, which is a cadre of right-wing randroids, laissez-faire capitalists, and gold bugs who say things like "taxes are slavery." Cultural libertarianism extrapolates that to "multiculturalism is slavery."

Name-calling, stereotyping, generalizing, gaslighting, and outright dismissal.

Typical.

Those are all big words and I'm sure you're very proud of them but that doesn't mean I'm interested in your sealioning.

I was going to say Family Guy, more. South Park fandom seems to be 1/3 alt-right who don't get the joke, 1/3 leftists who DO get the joke, and 1/3 slash fans.

It's the radical belief that individual liberties should be valued above the greater good of the group.

No it isn't.

There are plenty of cultural libertarians on the left. The illiberal left has created them by becoming the mirror image of the religious far right.

What? No. "Cultural libertarianism" is literally a word that was coined by the alt-right (specifically, by a Breitbart contributor) to describe themselves with.
