I think the people who feel the need to make Japanese characters black because the anime didn't draw them "Asian looking enough" (because looking up the reason why anime looks the way it does is fucking hard) think the chracters were white because guess where the non-Japanese fan grew up? A place with a majority of white people, where some of them saw Sailor Moon and and assumed she was white because she has blonde hair and blue eyes, so because of this, they also assumed countries like Japan see the world through American eyes, which makes no fucking sense and shows how ignorant and unworldly they are assuming everywhere else is just like America, despite how unlike America a place like Japan is.

This irritates me because why not just do fanart of them looking more realistic and less cartoony.
