It's not a joke. OP didn't even consider us. We don't exist as valid gender identities to OP. Now that's a hostile environment for a gender.

You need to work a little harder nonny. We've had this talk before. Insulting people is a chance to express your creative side, to really contribute something admirable to the world. And yet time and time again, you resort to the most tired of insults.

You can, but it's not going to get you the answer you're thinking of. I don't believe the body and the mind are exclusively separate things--if you mentally are a gender, then you physically are as well--the brain is a physical thing.

So an agender person has an agender body. A genderfluid person has a genderfluid body. An andryogyne has an androgyne's body. Etc.

That's all fair enough, but you're right it's not what I'm asking. Maybe my fault for being too vague. Can I ask what gender was put on your birth certificate? Or possibly, a better way of putting it, if I had asked you your gender before you realised you were NB, what would you have said?

I've known I wasn't a boy or girl since I was a very small child, for as far back as I can remember. The best way to ask (imo) is "What gender were you assigned at birth?".

But I won't answer that question to random people. There are too many people out there that think it's okay to deliberately misgender me as my birth-assigned gender if I let it be known. Whether because they're genuinely transphobic or just trolling.
