that was my thought.

the kid thing is weird in general (having kids that instantly grow up, I mean) but them being able to romance the "generation 1" characters? weird. yuck. no.

Yeah, my least favorite thing about Awakening was the kid characters being able to get with Robin. So many layers of gross.

I dislike all of the clone characters. I know it's just pandering because they're the most popular Awakening characters, but it's just too lazy.

Also, the actual Awakening characters. As much as I like Owain, his story was already told and he has no business in Fates.

I'm frustrated by this game in general. I love playing it but some parts were badly done.

Pretty sure that's because Tharja in Awakening was just as into female Robin as she was male Robin. Also pretty sure she had a line that said 'if we were ever reincarnated I'd still follow you', where you could see female Corrin and Rhajat as the reincarnations.

Yeah, it sucks that it's just a rehash character, but I distinctly remember a lot of players wanting to marry female Robin with Tharja. There was never really a male character equivalent who was into male Robin in Awakening.

Chrom always came off as super into Robin for me. There's a gender-neutral line in one of the DLCs (future past I think?) from Grima Robin to Lucina like "this body always loved your father" too.

Yep, Future Past 3. "The man who used to control this body loved your father." The only difference between the male and female Robin versions is them swapping out 'man' for 'woman'; it reads the EXACT same way.

Yeah, I was looking forward to playing as fem Corrin and having a female love interest until I found out about the clone thing. I'm not happy about the only f/f option also being yandere, but it's the stupid clone thing that bugs me more. (I'm not in love with a lot of Soleil's supports, but why not her?)
