I fucking hate Tumblr. It isn't just the SJW crowd. Everything on Tumblr seems to be taken to the extreme, every reaction to any event is an overreaction. The general mentality seems to seep into anyone who uses the site as well, which is why I guess everyone says it's poison or cancer. A friend of mine has stopped calling himself a "gamer" because they made that a 'bad word.'7

Everything is about "it made me uncomfortable" and safespaces to them. If these people ran the world, hurting someone's feelings would be considered worse than murder.

I'm in this thread defending tumblr and I don't really disagree with you.
I love how I can use tumblr to follow many disparate things I love and always be seeing new creative and entertaining things.
But it's really really terribly designed for education or political discussion and I tend to unfollow people who get wrapped up in that shit. It's the WORST.

yeah, agreed. I don't call myself a gamer anymore for that reason, though I wouldn't fault anyone for calling themselves that.

It's not really my whole identity anymore, anyway. I play games, but I'm not a "gamer"... I spend most of my life doing other things, and it's not who I am. People who take "gamer" to be who they are tend to be...immature at best, toxic at worst. :/
