I've seen quite a bit of it in original m/m books on Amazon lately. The field is heavily dominated by extremely bland contemporary stuff, so it's always fun to see some crazy fandom thing sneak in, lol.

It's a fan creation? I always thought Omegaverse evolved out of Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson/Alpha and Omega series *feels sheepish*

I don't know, to be honest. I just thought it was funny that people were complaining that some company was creating stuff with a fandom "property" while most of the same people use other people's property to create fandom work (that they sometimes sell).

You make it sound like there is some kind of actual outrage or drama over this when the source material literally has 47 notes. My food photos get more attention than that. You're making a bigger deal out if it than the person you linked.

All the descriptions of it I've seen boil down to furry without the fur. (Knotting, heat, forced top/bottom roles.)
